- Log into myLane
- Access "myPersonal Information" by selecting Open General Dashboard.
- Select Personal Information.

In the Personal Details section at the top select the Edit at the top right. - Under myName at the bottom left of the window enter/update your preferred first name and select Update. It may take up to an hour for name changes to be reflected in Canvas.

Note
This only changes your first name where possible such as your first name in Canvas. This does not legally change your name and these changes will not be applied to documents such as transcripts.
If you are wanting to change your first name for legal reasons contact enrollment services.
