Feature has been disabled

The "Log in as" or "impersonate" function was disabled in Spring 2021 Term due to security and privacy concerns. The function will remain disabled till a solution from Moodle HQ is available.

NOTE 2/25/2020 - Embedded content is currently not displaying when logged in as another student. The content is still there.

Instructions

As the instructor of a course, you have privileges that enable you to remotely log in as one of your students. This allows you to navigate the course as that student and see exactly what they see. You can also do this with a test student, like Joe Test, instead of an actual student in the course.

  1. In the top left hand corner of your Moodle course, click on the three lines box to bring down the weekly menu. Click on Participants.

  2. Click on the student’s name (it’s written in blue) that you want to view the course through.

  3. On the student's user profile, under Administration box on the right hand side, select Log in as. You will ONLY be able to see you course from that student.

NOTE: In order to return to your normal role, you will need to completely log out of Moodle and log back in as yourself.
