Sometimes, you might find that an assignment or activity in Moodle is not available when you expect it to be. This often happens because your instructor has set up what's called a "conditional release." This means that certain activities or assignments must be completed before you can access others. For example, you might need to submit a previous assignment or achieve a particular score on a quiz before the next assignment becomes visible.

If you can't access an assignment, it’s a good idea to review any previous activities to ensure you've completed them according to the requirements. Check the instructions and look for any "Activity completion" boxes next to your past assignments to confirm whether they are marked as complete. If you're unsure why the assignment isn't available, it might be helpful to reach out to your instructor for clarification. They can let you know which specific tasks need to be completed first.

What to Do If You Can’t Access an Assignment:

  • Review Previous Activities: Ensure you've completed all required assignments or activities.
  • Check for Completion Marks: Look for completion boxes next to previous tasks to see if they are marked as done.
  • Contact Your Instructor: If you're still unsure, ask your instructor which tasks need to be completed to unlock the assignment.
