By default some quizzes may display emojis when certain groups of characters are placed in text areas in a row. An example of this is (n) will display as a thumbs down emoji instead of just the text.
To turn this off for your quiz follow these steps:
- Select the quiz from the course page to view the quiz description page.
- Select the More tab at the top on the page and select Filters from the drop down menu.
- Scroll down and find Display emoticons as images and change the drop down across from it to Off or Default (Off).
- Select Save Changes at the bottom of the page.
The quiz should no longer include the emoji.
